Traffic restrictions issued today from 2 PM to 9 PM for Bombay High Court Ceremony in BKC

The Mumbai Traffic Police have issued an advisory for the foundation stone ceremony of the new Bombay High Court complex taking place today, on September 23, 2024, at Govt. Colony Ground, Bandra (East).

Traffic restrictions will be in effect in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with New English School Road closed to all vehicles except those related to the event. Commuters are encouraged to use Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Mandir Road as an alternative route.

Plan your commute accordingly

To ensure smooth traffic flow, restrictions will be in place in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) area from 2 PM to 9 PM on Monday. Following are the traffic advisory details-

  • Road Closure: New English School Road will be closed in both directions.

  • Connections: This road connects Ramkrishna Paramhansa Marg and J. L. Shirsekar Marg.

  • Access: Only event-related vehicles will be permitted on the closed road.

  • Alternative Route: Commuters should use Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Mandir Road to avoid disruptions.

Motorists are urged to plan their journeys accordingly and follow traffic police instructions to avoid inconvenience during this event.

The ceremony will be graced by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, along with other Supreme Court and Bombay High Court judges, and several VVIPs. The new Bombay High Court complex is set to feature world-class infrastructure, including spacious courtrooms, chambers for judges, an arbitration and mediation centre, and various amenities for lawyers, staff, and litigants.
