Presenting the Union Budget for 2022-23, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1, 2022, announced that the Budget proposals for this financial year are based on three pillars, developing a digital economy, an indigenous development approach and physical and financial capital and infrastructure. This Union Budget seeks to lay the foundation & give a blueprint of the economy over ‘Amrit Kal’ of the next 25 years, from India at 75 to India at 100. Other than this, other major events include, the gross GST collection for the month of January, which is over Rs. 1.4 lakh crore, the highest since the inception of GST and the creation of 60 lakh job opportunities in the next five years.
